This two-day class features morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon sessions of guided exercises operating the UW-Stevens Point Fourdrinier pilot paper machine. This combination has proven to be a highly effective and enjoyable way to gain fundamental knowledge of the commercial papermaking process.

TAPPI is excited to be working in partnership with the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Technology (WIST) to help promote a series of laboratory-focused short courses that will be held throughout the year. 

WIST is part of the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which is also home to the ABET-accredited Paper Science and Engineering Program.  WIST has been providing industry-related laboratory services, as well as educational courses for more than six years.
